Joey Ladouceur Posts Mixed Results in Seaway Sportsman Series Events at Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond; Cornwall Rained Out

It certainly wasn’t the outcome that they were looking for, but Joey Ladouceur enjoyed his visit to Quebec last weekend with the Sportsman Seaway/Lussier Series at Autodrome Granby on Friday night and Autodrome Drummond on Saturday. Ladouceur piloted a Kaven Poliquin backup car during the weekend.

At Autodrome Granby on Friday night, Joey started his qualifying heat from deep in the field, rolling off the starting grid from 12th place. With only four cars making the redraw, Ladouceur did all he could, but missed out by just one position. In the 50 lap main event, Joey started from the 13th spot, and it was unable to gain any ground throughout the race, finishing in the same 13th place position.

The next stop on the schedule was Autodrome Drummond on Saturday night for another 50 lap main event. Ladouceur finished fifth in his qualifier once again, and started the feature from the 18th starting position. Joey had worked his way into the top ten at one point but got shuffled back on the last couple restarts and finished 17th..

Joey was planning on racing his own car on Sunday night at Cornwall Speedway but for the first time in 2014 they were forced to cancel.

“A big thanks to Eric Champagne and Kaven Poliquin for allowing me to utilize their backup car this weekend at Granby and Drummond in the Seaway/Lussier Series”, says Ladouceur. “We didn’t get the results we were looking for, but we still enjoyed our weekend”.

Joey will be back at Cornwall Speedway this coming Sunday night, followed by a return visit to Quebec on Monday and Tuesday with DIRTcar Sportsman Series events at Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond. Sunday will be a very busy day for Ladouceur, as he competes in the ProCam Truck Series race at Airborne Park Raceway in Plattsburgh, New York earlier that afternoon. As soon as the race is finished, Joey will make the two-hour drive back to Cornwall Speedway.
